The lower floor of our split level was a lot of wasted space. A previous owner had added a large family room with no closets at the rear of the house, and the hallway from the garage was over 12 feet long and nearly six feet wide.

Ed turned our little-used family room into a master bedroom suite by adding 12 feet of closets with solid 6 panel doors, and adding a door to the formerly open entranceway. On the other side of the partition, in the the hallway to the garage, he added 12 feet of linen closets with matching 6 panel bifold doors.

While he was here, we had him replace the old cast iron railing overlooking the entrance stairway with a beautiful wooden rail. Completing the project is a small office with a built in computer desk designed to match my work style.

My father is a retired carpenter; he learned the trade as his grandfather's apprentice. I can honestly say that Ed is every bit as fussy as my father.
